FAQ

Q: Why don’t you have an FAQ page?
A: We do now.

Q: Who sings the theme song for the site and where can I find it?
A: That’s Rob Griffiths of Australia’s Little Murders. Rob was kind enough to write that number for our site exclusively, so you won’t find it on any album. You’ll only find it here. If you like that, you should hear the Little Murders. Check them out at: www.swerve.com.au. We’re told the site is being revamped and should be up soon—so be patient.

Q: You guys should totally get a MYSPACE.
A: Totally. We’ve got one: www.myspace.com/caughtinthecarousel

Q: Will you review my band’s CD? Where should I send it?
A: We’ll certainly give it a fair listen. Send it to: Alex Green C/O Caught In The Carousel, 1881 Shuey Avenue, Suite D. Walnut Creek, California, 94596.

Q: Who do you interview?
A: People we’re crazy about.

Q: I used to listen to you on the radio—any chance you’ll post some old clips?
A: Absolutely. Every month we go through stacks of tapes and currently have over thirty snippets from “Bedtime With Alex” that will be posted every month.

Q: How about that long lost Counting Crows acoustic session/interview you did in December, 1991?
A: It’s long, but certainly not lost. We promise to put segments up as soon as we can.

Q: What’s the Acoustic Classroom Series you keep talking about?
A: As you may or may not know, Alex is a Professor at U.C. Berkeley and St. Mary’s College of California. For his Composition courses he likes to bring in bands to play acoustic sets, talk about their writing process and field questions from the students for their assigned essay on the evening.

Q: Are you going to start posting exclusive music?
A: Yes. We’re pretty excited about the fact that so many bands have asked us to post their songs exclusively on Caught In The Carousel. At first we only wanted to post content that can’t be found anywhere—live cuts and b-sides—but we decided to post album tracks as well. All exclusive content will be denoted as such, just so you know what you’re getting is rare.

Q: How can I write for Caught In The Carousel?
A: Send us your clips, we’ll take a look and we’ll go from there. Be warned, however, that clips with errors will be thrown away with a sad shake of our disappointed heads.

Q: Is it true that Alex once dated Toni Collette?
A: Uh…..no—not true at all. But don’t think he didn’t try
