ToadiesSeptember 21, 2010
Although the Toadies never really went away (internet rumors of their demise having been greatly exaggerated) on September 21st they performed at Chicago’s Double Door like the return of a conquering hero; strong, confident and triumphant. Opening with “Backslider” from their iconic debut album Rubberneck, the Texas quartet powered through a 90-minute set that showcased not only the new album Feeler, but their entire catalog. In fact, several of the first few songs were from Rubberneck; a nice change of pace from bands whose only goal is to sell their newest album. Pamela Obenchain |
