**Ian Brown says that his new album My Way was inspired by Michael Jackson's Thriller. The NME reported that, "the final day of mixing took place when the late singer died, on June 25." "Thriller was our blueprint," Brown told NME.COM. "Every time we wrote a song we didn't think was strong enough, we scrapped it. We mastered it on the day that Michael Jackson died too, so I'm taking that as a good omen." That's a good omen? That your muse died the day you finished? Way to misread the tealeaves, dude...
**On the season finale of "Brooke Knows Best" the daughter of Hulk Hogan prepared for what she kept referring to as her "comeback concert." This implies that for a period of time she was popular then she was gone and then she was missed...Just for the sake of clarity, she wasn't, she wasn't and she wasn't.
**I'm sick of singer/songwriters who claim they wrote their new album while staying in a log cabin somewhere in Vermont. They emerge bearded and flannelled and holding a dead deer and an acoustic guitar uttering things like, "I just had to face myself and look in the mirror and say, 'Hey, me, get it together, you--I need this.'" Oy.
