Bonneville
Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Lake Shore

Centering around three friends (Jessica Lange, Joan Allen and Kathy
Bates) who rediscover themselves on a road trip West, Bonneville
is a movie as much about friendship as it is about second chances. Cut
into two halves, the soundtrack's first section features Donovan's moving
"Catch The Wind," King Floyd's "I Feel Like Dynamite"
and Lazlo Bane's rousing "Mama Told Me (Not To Come)." Rounded
out by numbers by Amos Lee ("Supply And Demand"), Pete Droge
("Under The Waves") and Nik Kershaw (the truly fabulous "Wounded")
all of the aforementioned numbers sound great as the ladies tear down
the American highway with the windows down. The back nine of Bonneville
is comprised of original music by classically trained pianist and former
Alien Crime Syndicate guitarist Jeff Cardoni (Love For Rent, Just Friends).
Cardoni's thoughtful compositions, like "Driving To Bryce"
or "Bo Leaves" instantly evoke the wide panoramas of the Western
United States. Although he may lack the CV of Danny Elfman or James
Newton Howard, Cardoni is poised to have a massive career in the film
soundtrack business.
