Californication
Music From The Showtime Series: Season 4
Arrival

The music of the fourth season of Californication is as libidinous and lusty as the show itself. The jaw-dropping exploits of horny scribe Hank Moody are so devilishly fun that it's nearly impossible to look away. And now our boy's got even more music to soundtrack his continued depravity with. Shooter Jennings' "Fuck You I'm Famous" is irreverent and brash; Eagles of Death Metal's reworking of the late Gerry Rafferty's "Stuck In The Middle With You" is playful and coy and Better Than Ezra's take on Love and Rockets' "So Alive" is spot-on. Later, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult's "Sex On Wheelz" is bursting with menace, Queens Of Dogtown's reading of the Misfits' "Last Caress" is dark and melodic and Cracker's "Tune In, Turn On, Drop Out With Me," has a gentle, but seductive pull. It all ends with a strange and loopy chorus of "Home Sweet Home" commandeered by the eternal hedonist Tommy Lee.
