Eulogies
Tempted To Do Nothing
Dangerbird

For those wondering what Eulogies have been doing since the release of their outstanding debut, the Tempted To Do Nothing EP is loaded with evidence that the Peter Walker-fronted band have been pretty busy lately. The four numbers here find Eulogies in fine melodic form: the gently churning new wave of "Bad Connection" and "Is There Anyone Here?" have traces of The Cure, while the slacker-themed title track comes with a laconic beauty. But it's the duet "Two Can Play" which pairs Walker with Niki Monninger of the Silversun Pickups that really dominates these brief proceedings. Elegant, ruminative and smooth, the two singers literally finish each other's sentences and the results are quietly riveting. As they narrate a slow motion romantic dissolution you can't help but memorize the way each piece falls. Eulogies are readying their sophomore effort Here Anonymous for a Spring releaseshould be a good one.
