Golden Arm Trio
Cult of Color
Shamrock Record Co.

Composer-producer Graham Reynolds creates dynamic sound projects by
blending experimental jazz, big band, and found sound into traditional
classical structures. In the score for the ballet, Cult of Color:
Call to Color, Reynolds has created a unique performance space,
adding aboriginal rhythms and a strong thematic narrative to his signature
eclectic style.
The ballet Cult of Color: Call to Color was developed with choreographer
Stephen Mills and visual artist Trenton Doyle Hancock. Reynolds' score
to this visual tapestry narrates the mythological saga of a world as
it shifts from black & white to color. Like any good Creation story,
Cult of Color contains themes of conflict and struggle, sacrifice
and triumph. It is gorgeous and sensuous.
The Golden Arm Trio is Reynolds' musical collective, an ensemble gathered
to give life to Reynolds' musical vision. From film soundtracks to crime
jazz, punk, and musicals, Reynolds plays with sound like Imelda Marcos
played with shoes. The ballet, Cult of Color: Call to Color,
sold out its initial two-week performance run at the Austin Ventures
Theatre, but the CD lasts forever. Add some color to your life.
