The Other Side is a unique blend of country and rock that had me wondering, What if the Beatles had put out a country album? My two favorite tracks are the cheerful "When Will I See You Again" and "Let Her Go." The rest of the EP is fun, a bit like Hank Williams Jr. meets Sgt. Pepper, but overall The Other Side doesn't sparkle enough to stand out from the crowd. Not even when Michaels sounds like George Harrison.
