United Defiance
Product of Disaster
Sand Pail Records

Raw, feral and positively fearless, United Defiance's Product Of Disaster is one of the year's biggest surprises. Hailing from Martinez, California, this foursome's body of work sounds influenced as much by American punk rock (NOFX, Operation Ivy) as British (The Dammed, The Clash). Clocking in at just over twenty minutes, the nine numbers here are tough and melodic; "Letting Go" with Rich Brown's gritty guitar work is a perfect blast of howl and stomp, while "No Way Out" and "Your Name Here" are sheer muscle. "Big Brother" is menacing and savage; the gutsy vocal interplay on "Time Again" is decidedly rousing and "Anything And Everything" has one of the most defiant call-and-response choruses of all time.
